Short story version #1
It was the hottest day of the summer, which unfortunately was drawing to a close as a sleepy silence fell over the small, red farm on Hillshire meadow. The animals that usually roamed the meadow had retreated to their shaded shelters, in order to escape the increasing glare of the sun, while putting all their faith into a nonexistent breeze. All that was left outside to bask in the increasing heat were two teenage siblings lying flat on their backs in the long, uncut grass.
Tom the younger of the two siblings was a tall, but skinny sixteen year old boy with freckles and curly hair. As Tom turned to look at his sister Lanett, an intelligent nineteen year old girl, with the wisdom and maturity of an adult, he whispered, “Why do you think she hasn’t called for us yet”. Lanett sat in silence, then turned to Tom and said, “I think we should go check on her”, as Tom immediately nodded his head in agreement.
The two quickly made their way home. As they stepped through the door, they saw their grandmother’s lifeless body on the floor. Lanett quickly ran over to her side, as Tom stood frozen in fear, with different scenarios of what had happened running wild through his mind. “Tom”, Lanett cried, “she’s not dead, so get over here and help me get her off the floor”, and with those words a wave of relief came over Tom as he helped Lanett get their grandmother onto her bed. Lanett, using the skills she had obtained as a former nurse, checked her grandmother’s vital signs and was quickly able to tell what was wrong. Lanett slowly, with a look of anguish turned to her brother and said, “I…., Tom she has influenza “. Tom, feeling a sharp pain in his chest, fell to the floor, remembering that his parents were killed by the same disease now threatening to take away their last remaining relative. Tom looked up at Lanett with a look of pain on his face and said in a low tone, “how”, Lanett turned to him and replied, “I don’t know, but you’ve heard it on the radio haven’t you”, “heard what Tom replied”, Lanett looked into his eyes with a look of frustration and said, “the news of all the people catching influenza and dying”.

She Hulk (sometihing i needed to say version 1)
She Hulk
I know your much
Older now
Than back before
When you were
Fourteen and
I
Was nine
And we
Were on
The bus
It was a quiet
Bus ride home
With me
Talking to my
Friends
With your
Little brother
Included
When
All of a sudden
He
Twitches
In pain
He looks up
And
The damage
Was done
One of his
Eyebrow had been
Scratched off
You automatically
Without proof
Blamed me
Though
I
Was sitting in
A different seat
And
You automatically
As if it was what you did
For a living
Began to harass
Me and hit me
In the back of the head
Though I covered my
Head and could barely
See
I could see
Out of the corner
Of my eye
My sister
A couple of seats
Away
Turning red
A color I didn’t know
African Americans could turn
Until then
Heading straight
For you
You didn’t
See it coming as she
Knocked you
Straight
In your face
Throwing you off balance
Causing you to land on the floor
And this part was my
Personal favorite
She
Automatically got on top
Of you
And began barraging you
With fists
While I saw a smile appear
On the face of the
Bus driver
It got so bad a
Student had to get her
Off
Since then
I’ve seen the way
You look at
Girls
As if they’re all out
To get you
Well I’m much older now
And I just wanted
To tell you
Since this
Might be my last chance
That beating on someone
You’re five years older
Than
Doesn’t make you look
Very tough
In fact it makes you
Look weak
And that’s why
You got your
a**
handed to you
Do you think its appropriate for me to have curse words in my peom?
How do you think i can shorten up this poem?

version 2 poem
Part of Me
You
became
a part of me
Part of me
When you walked through
the door
I started trippin
Losing all my control
like an angel
falling from heaven
You were unlike anything that
I
have ever seen
With a face
too beautiful
to be cut out a magazine
As I sat back
observing
the way you move
With that body
like a goddess
making me want
to move over
to you
When our eyes linked
I could tell
there was something more
I felt something
I
had never felt before
as you sent me signals
that I couldn’t ignore
as I started heading
for
the dance floor
Destiny
pulled us closer
as
the club fell silent
with
the spotlight’s
bright lights
on us
All I could see
was her
As I took
time
to appreciate
your beauty
All eyes were on
you,
your beauty
is
impossible
to ignore
As we started
moving
to your heartbeat
you
became
a part of me
part of me
And as seconds
turned into
minutes
and minutes
into hours
she looked at me
her face
glistening in the spotlight
with a hint
of resentment
as she spoke the words
as softly
as an angel
“I’m sorry
This was a mistake
I
Have to leave”
And before
I
could
deny
In my heart
what had just happened
she turned around
heading for the exit door
leaving a trail
of tears
like raindrops
behind her
to hit the floor
and as her body
maneuvered
around the mass
of bodies
effortlessly,
I stood there
In silence
With no words
that
could explain
the way
I
felt
when she went
away
Destiny
had brought us
together
and
Tore us
Apart
As
She
Became
A part of me
Part of me
You

Crystal:
At his father's company, as a new employee
Dimitri:
So he works for his father, huh, last time i heard they were'nt hiring
Crystal:
Maybe his resume was just better than everyone else who applied
Dimitri:
(Sacrastically)
Yeah maybe
Crystal:

Dimitri:
Alright then Crystal have it your way, though it would have made for a good debate

Crystal:

Dimitri:

Crystal:

Dimitri:

Crystal:
Thats nothing i'm a girl, we do that all the time
Dimitri:
We'll just have to see about that
Crystal:
And if i win, you'll have to walk around the town wearing a mini skire, a g-sting, a bra, and makeup

students should get payed to go to school
i dont want to come to school because it is boring and i have to wake up early in the morning just to go to school. but if i was getting paid to go to school i would wake up as early as 4:00 am . i think its only fair for students to get paid to go to school becuase we are putting our time into coming in early in the morning and have will put twelve years into school. also without students teachers wouldnt have a job and that would negatively affect the economy.
